There are many gravel roads within the Sandstone Shire and you must always drive to conditions and be mindful of possible dangers such as incoming weather and/or animals on the road.
Please note that most of these gravel roads do not have phone reception. Take plenty of water and food as well as appropriate tools in case you need to change a tyre.
All Shires release a road condition report that covers the gravel roads within their shire. You can find these on most shire websites or simply ring their office to check if you are unsure.
