The Sandstone Visitor Centre and Heritage Museum is located on the corner of Hack Street and Oroya Street (opposite the Cafe).
It Opens seasonally from April to October, 9am - 4pm everyday.
(closed between the end of October and beginning of April)
They have various brochures and local information for you to look through plus books and souvenirs for sale. The Visitor Centre also houses the Heritage Museum with photos and items from sandstones gold rush beginning, pastoral industry and everyday life in the early 1900s.
